Edwards Signaling 5540MV-24N5 Division 2 Rated tone generator for use with Millennium Class multi-tone signals. Four inputs, four outputs. Includes voice-recorded message feature.

A high decibel, heavy duty signal and pre-recorded voice messaging must be signaled simultaneously in applications requiring the Edwards 5540MV Adaptatone Millennium Central Tone Generator with Voice Messaging. The tone generator ensures that all remote speakers produce a synchronised signaling sound. The Millennium Central Tone Generator creates the 55 Adaptatone standard tones and has a 20-second voice recording storage capacity. Field-wired, normally-open contacts or an external 24 VDC power source, such as a PLC output, can both activate four signals. The Cat. No. 5538-4 or Cat. No. 5538-4R Adaptatone Signal Actuator can provide normally open contacts.

By adjusting tiny dip switches inside the machine, messages and tones can be chosen. The programmed tones function according to a pyramid-style scheme of priority. With the 5540MV-485Y6, you may fully regulate serial signaling communication over RS485 networks.
