The 1508AQN5 is a surface wall mounted electromagnetic door holder.

With a rugged, sleek design, this door holder is both durable and stylish. The shock absorbing nylon swivel ball on the contact plate automatically adjusts to any door angle. The door holder operates off of low power consumption and can withstand up to 25 lbf of holding force.

The electromagnetic door holder from the 1508 Series is a high-end tool for use with single doors. The electromagnet assembly is made to be mounted on a surface wall.

The electromagnet is made to fit within a conventional single gang outlet box and be surface wall mounted (supplied). The electromagnet within the electrical box is connected by field wiring. The catch plate assembly can be fastened to the door using either disguised surface mounting plates or through-bolting.

When a fire alarm, smoke detection, or sprinkler system is activated, this device is intended to be used on self-closing, swinging doors to automatically isolate an area. Anywhere when immediate door closure is required for convenience or safety can also be controlled manually.
