Edwards Signaling 5531MHV-24AQ Division 2 Rated, tone selectable, signaling device capable of producing volume-controlled, high decibel tones. 55 field-selectable tones. Four inputs, four outputs.
The Edwards 5531MHV Series Adaptatone Millennium is a heavy-duty industrial signaling device with a 30 watt output that can produce loud, volume-controlled tones. Field-wired, normally open contacts or an external voltage source, such as the output of a PLC, operating at 24VDC or 120VAC, can both activate four tones. The Cat. No. 5538-4 and/or Cat. No. 5538-4R Adaptatone Signal Actuators can provide normally open contacts.
The device employs a microprocessor circuit to generate 55 unique tones, which are selectable by setting tiny internal dip switches. A switch with a programmed tone has precedence over any switches that come after it in a pyramid-style system of priority that is used by the tones. Refer to the catalog pages on the left side of this page for more details on priority tone operation and a comprehensive list of all 55 tones.
designed for use in industrial applications such as paging, process monitoring, shift start-and-dismissal horns, plant evacuation, and security intrusion alarms.
Surface mounting or 1/2" (13mm) conduit can be used with the 5531M. On the left side of this page, under Catalog Pages, look for Adaptatone Signaling Installation.
