Edwards Signaling 5530M-24AQ Tone selectable, signaling device. 55 high-decibel field-selectable tones. 24V input card. 24V AC/DC operating voltage.
A robust industrial tone-selectable signaling device that can generate volume-controlled, high-decibel tones is the Edwards 5530M Adaptatone Millennium. A dip switch inside the device is used to set one of 55 unique tones that are produced by a microprocessor circuit. See Tone Selection under Catalog Pages on the left side of this page for a complete list of all 55 tones. Field-wired, normally-open contacts or an external voltage source, such as a PLC output, can both activate the Adaptatone Millennium. No additional loading resistors or relays are needed to set up your Adaptatone thanks to PLC compatibility.
A few models are made to connect to RS485 networks serially. Additionally, the 5530MV-485Y6 has a field recordable speech function that enables voice messages to be activated over the RS485 network. For more information, see the section on connectivity and activation. The Cat. No. 5538-4 and/or Cat. No. 5538-4R Adaptatone Signal Actuators can provide normally open contacts.
designed for industrial applications that demand a robust microprocessor and high decibel output. Emergency warning systems, plant evacuation and security intrusion alarms, process monitoring, shift start-and-dismissal horns, and paging signals are a few examples of typical applications.
Surface mounting or 12" (13mm) conduit. On the left side of this page, under Catalog Pages, you may find Adaptatone Signaling Installation.
