Edwards Signaling 439D-8AW-R Fire Alarm Bell, 8" (200mm), Vibrating, Diode, 24VDC, Red.

Specially made for use in fire alarm applications are Edwards Fire Alarm Bells. To produce the loud, resonant tones required in fire alarm systems, the gongs are composed of a special alloy of steel.

There are two gong sizes available to combat various levels of background noise.

The fire alarm bells have robust mechanisms and are of the underdome variety. Each bell comes with a mounting plate that may be used with any common single-gang opening (see Installation Data). Edwards provides a surface waterproof back box as an alternative for applications that require weatherproofing. For information on whether the waterproof back box for the specific bell is applicable as well as its catalog number, consult the Specification chart.

Finish: Gray with a red label on the casing and a standard gong. There is a red finish option. Increase the catalog number's suffix "R".
