Edwards Signaling 278B-1420 NORML OPEN/CLOSE DOUBLE POLE KEYED PULL STATION

The Kidde Cat. No. 278B/279B series non-coded fire alarm stations have a modern Lexan design and may be easily configured to fit a wide range of operational requirements.

Double action stations with terminals for field wire connections make up the Cat. No. 278B series.

The Cat. No. 279B series are double action stations with field wiring connections on six inch (150mm) wire leads.

All varieties are available with single or double pole alarm contacts that can be normally open, normally closed, a mix of the two, or presignal or general alarm. Depending on the station chosen, a key or tool is needed to reset the mechanism. For precise catalog numbers and features, refer to the specification chart.

Use a normal North American four-inch square box with a single gang plaster cover that has an overlal minimum depth of 2-1/4 inches for semi flush mounting (57mm). Use a surface back box with Cat. No. K-276B-RSB for surface mounting.

The Edwards Cat. No. 278B series non-coded fire alarm stations have a modern Lexan design and may be easily configured to fit a wide range of operating requirements. A twin action station with connectors for field wire connections is the Cat. No. 278B-1420. It has a key-operated reset and is double pole open circuit. When installing a manual station next to smoke detectors, it is possible to connect a resistor in series with the station's alarm-initiating contacts to prevent the operation of the station from turning off the alarm LEDs on the operating detectors.
