Adams Rite MS1850S-350-335 MS DEADLOCK
Deadlock Adams Rite MS1850S-350-335 MS
The MS1850S Series MS Deadlock provides the highest level of security for a single leaf narrow stile door by using a laminated stainless steel bolt that is triggered by a pivot mechanism.
Function
This straightforward MS Deadlock has become the industry standard for narrow stile doors thanks to a massive bolt of laminated stainless steel that is almost three inches long and triggered by a simple pivot mechanism. The length of this bolt offers the highest level of protection for a single leaf door, even if it is particularly tall, flexible, or installed with a larger space between the door and jamb than is ideal.
Opetation
The counterbalanced bolt can be thrown or retracted with a 360 key or thumbturn. Only after the bolt is positively locked or unlocked can the key be removed. Any normal 1-5/32" diameter mortise cylinder or thumbturn can be inserted into one or both sides of the lock. Cylinder must have a cam with MS dimensions.
To accommodate any circumstance, Adams Rite offers four different types of dead bolts. They possess the deadbolt with the shortest practicable throw from a small stile. A half-turn of the key opens this deadbolt.
For use with sliding metal or wood doors, use the heavy duty dead blot. The door is secured by the deadbolt, which launches a large brass bolt into the strike and then extends a stainless steel dog up and down. The bolt can only be turned with a complete turn of the key. For this bolt, a unique cylinder cam is needed.
Adams Rite further provides an integrated dead bolt/dead latch for hollow wood, metal, or aluminum stile doors. Through this combination, access control from the outside and quick, simple, panic-proof evacuation are both provided.
When the lock is operated from the inside alone and the interconnect function is activated, it accomplishes this by connecting the dead bolt and the dead latch. Only the latch is retracted by the outside lever.
