Adams Rite 1850S-320-335 DEADLOCK
For the highest level of protection on a single-leaf thin stile aluminum door, the MS1850S Series MS Deadlock uses a laminated stainless steel bolt. A laminated stainless steel hook bolt is used by the MS1850S-X5X Series MS Deadlock to maximize security for a sliding-thin stile aluminum door. An activating pivot mechanism is used for both.
Function: The basic MS1850S Series MS Deadlock has become the industry standard for thin stile aluminum doors thanks to a massive bolt of laminated stainless steel that is nearly 3" long and triggered by a simple pivot mechanism. The length of this bolt offers the highest level of protection for a single leaf door, even if it is particularly tall, flexible, or installed with a larger space between the door and jamb than is ideal.
In the commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings with sliding narrow stile aluminum doors, the MS1850S-X5X Series MS Deadlock provides the security needed. The large laminated bolt is provided in a hook shape to resist the motion that separates a sliding door from its jamb, otherwise, the locking mechanism is the same as the MS1850S Series MS Deadlock. The door cannot be forced open by trying to pry it up, down, or sideways thanks to the over-center maximum security (MS) locking action.
The 1850S-X2X Series Short Throw Deadlock is a unique layout that secures a single-leaf narrow stile aluminum door using a laminated stainless steel short bolt that is triggered by a pivot mechanism.
Operation: The counterbalanced bolt is extended or retracted with a 360 turn of the key or thumb-turn. Only after the bolt is positively locked or unlocked can the key be removed. The 4036 Mortise Cylinder with MS cam and the 4066 Thumbturn are two standard 1" [25.4 mm] length, 1-5/32" [29.4 mm] diameter mortise cylinders that can be used with the lock. The cylinder might come from either side or both.
