Quiet Electric Latch Retraction Exit Devices

Von Duprin QEL (quiet electric latch retraction) exit devices retract the latch with a motor, and this category lists QEL versions across device styles. The QEL9827EO is a Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit bar with a wide stile pushpad, 36" device, and 84" door height, exit only with motorized latch retraction, and the QEL99EO is a 36" Grade 1 rim exit device.

Concealed vertical rod versions include the QEL9947EO and the QEL9847NL-OP (48" device, 80" to 100" door height, nightlatch function); the QEL9827EO-F-LBR is a fire exit device with a request to exit switch and a UL 10C listing; and the QEL99L-06 adds a classroom function with an 06 lever. QEL3327A and QEL3547A versions and the 114317 QEL electric latch retraction retrofit kit are also listed.
