The Von Duprin 6400 is a modular electric strike engineered to fit nearly any cylindrical, mortise, or mortise exit lockset. The installer positions the deadbolt keeper or plug and the deadlatch ramp anywhere within its 3-1/8" vertical opening to match the latch location, and a 1/8" horizontal adjustment trues up tight or misaligned preps - making the 6400 the go-to strike for aftermarket and retrofit openings.
The heavy-duty stainless steel strike is ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 certified with 1,500 lbs of static strength, 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance, and an endurance rating of 2,000,000 cycles. It is UL 10C listed for 3 hour fire-rated openings as a fail-secure only device, with a unique internal solenoid design that keeps the keeper from heating up, suitable for interior and exterior doors on hollow metal, aluminum, or wood frames.
Everything needed ships in the box: prewired plug-in voltage connectors for 12 or 24 VDC - field changeable to 12 or 24 VAC with no converter kit - two faceplates (one each for offset and centerline locks), a trim filler plate, mounting tabs and shims, and a self-adhesive frame-cut template. The optional LM6400 plug-in latchbolt monitor can be added in the field at any time, and an EB entry buzzer option is available. Finished in 630 Satin Stainless Steel (US32D).
