United Security Products Alarm Devices
This catalog covers the devices that trigger and report an alarm: hold-up buttons and foot rails, door contacts in several grades, automatic voice, pager and cellular dialers, pressure mats, keypads and supervisory sensors. Browse the full United Security catalog below, or shop hold up buttons, dialers, pressure mats and Twist Loc contacts.
Hold Up Buttons
Hold-up buttons are specified by switch action and terminal count: momentary or latching, SPDT or DPDT, with three or six screw or solder terminals, and versions with a flashing LED. The switches are described as manufactured with gold, silver and copper for maximum conductivity. Wireless versions use frequency-hopping spread-spectrum transmitters with receivers monitoring up to 4, 10, 16 or 32 transmitters and an event log of the last 50 alarm events. See hold up buttons and foot rails.
Door Contacts
Contacts are sold in three grades. The budget line is priced to fit the tightest budget with rhodium contacts and rare earth magnets and is UL listed, including mini stick-on contacts and overhead door contacts for industrial or residential doors. The Double Strength line welds each switch with a solid brass splice, in concealed steel door contacts and wide gap surface contacts. Patented Twist Locs use spiral threads to install with one quick turn, and Arrowhead contacts are stubby size with rare earth magnets, self-threading into a 3/8 inch drilled hole. See budget contacts, double strength contacts and Twist Loc and Arrowhead.
Dialers
Dialers report an alarm when there is no monitoring service. Automatic voice and pager dialers work with nearly all alarm systems and include busy-line and no-answer detection, in plain and steel enclosure versions. Cellular dialers are self-contained four-channel monitoring systems, some weatherproof, announcing trigger events as a recorded voice message, with models that remotely control up to 4 circuits and arm or disarm from a phone keypad. Wireless dialers call up to eight telephones, pagers or cell phones and redial busy or unanswered calls. See dialers, cellular dialers and wireless dialers.
Mats, Keypads and Sensors
Pressure mats cover hard to protect areas with simple operation, low cost and no false activations, with pet resistant versions listed as well. Surface mount digital keypads add coded arming and disarming, a siren horn strobe gives a local alarm, and supervisory sensors cover temperature at 40 F, end of line relays for 4 or 6 wire fire systems at 12 or 24 VDC, and water level detection in tanks. See pressure mats, keypads and supervisory devices.
