Frame Actuator Controlled Schlage Mortise Locksets

These SDC HiTower locksets pair a Schlage mortise lock, such as the L9080, with an electric actuator installed in the frame. All access control and monitoring wires are maintained in the frame, power transfer hinges and wires through the door are not required, and the door stays latched even when unlocked, maintaining fire door integrity.

R7550 models are failsafe and locked from the outside only, S7570 models are failsecure and locked from the outside only, and S7560 models are failsecure and locked from both sides. Standard actuators operate at 24 VDC or 24 VAC, drawing 0.5 amp, or at 115 VAC, drawing 0.2 amp, and the failsecure actuators are designed for 2 inch face frames. The S7570 lockset with a Schlage L9080 mortise lock, a 24 VDC actuator, and a satin chrome actuator finish is offered for left and right handed doors.

Features include a mechanical key that retracts the latchbolt when locked, a high security locking operation that deadlocks the latchbolt and hubs, a spring loaded hub locking mechanism that absorbs pressure for smooth lever action, alignment compensation for wide door gaps up to 0.3125 inch (8 mm), and a choice of two actuator sizes for standard or narrow frames.
