Integrated Delayed Egress Magnetic Locks

SDC Exit Check 1511S single and 1511T tandem delayed egress EMLocks hold 1650 lbs and use an alternating 85 db tone and voice message with a digital countdown display and sign that give clear and comprehensive instructions for persons without prior knowledge of door operation, which is especially significant for those who are blind or hearing impaired.

The 1511SNDKV is an ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 compliant single door model with a built in key switch that is California Building Code (OSHPD), NFPA 101, IBC and IFC compliant, while the 1511SNAKV and the 1511SNAKVD with a door position status sensor are NFPA 101, IBC and IFC compliant. Single door models suit doors equipped with Exit Sense Bars, surface vertical rod, concealed vertical rod, mortise and rim mount exit devices, mortise locksets and cylindrical locksets. They measure 11 x 2-3/4 x 2-5/8 inches, draw 830mA at 12VDC or 450mA at 24VDC, and provide SPDT dry lock status and alarm outputs rated 1 Amp at 30VDC, key reset, sustained bypass, timed bypass adjustable from 1 to 30 seconds, and an emergency release input. They are UL, CSFM and MEA listed with BHMA certified holding force.

Tandem models such as the 1511TNAKV, which draws 1500mA at 12VDC or 850mA at 24VDC, and the 1511T-S-S-V serve pairs of doors equipped with Exit Sense Bars, surface mounted vertical rod exit devices and concealed vertical rod exit devices with surface mounted triggers and strikes. Options across the line include keyswitch, push button or less reset, a selectable egress delay or a fixed 15 or 30 second egress delay, NFPA 101, BOCA, CBC and Chicago compliant versions, Energy Saver models, and door position status, magnetic bond status and anti tamper sensor outputs. Parts include the 1511S-11 trigger base assembly and the 1511S-12TEPX armature plate assembly.
