Standalone Keypads

A standalone keypad controls an electric lock directly, with no access control panel, software, or cards involved. Users enter a code and the lock releases. It is the simplest way to put a door under code control, and it fits the many openings where the goal is keeping casual traffic out of a storage room, office suite, or staff area rather than tracking exactly who entered.

The DK-12 is Securitron's standalone keypad for these lower-security applications, used primarily for indoor, single-door traffic control. Its illuminated keys stay readable in dim corridors, it mounts on a single-gang box, and an optional rain cover protects it where some weather exposure is possible. Because a standalone keypad keeps its codes and relay in the unit at the door, it is best suited to doors where convenience matters more than resistance to tampering. For higher-security openings, a two-piece keypad system moves the control electronics inside the protected area, and a Wiegand keypad lets codes be managed and logged by an access control system.
