Rofu Electric Strikes, Maglocks and Exit Switches

Electric Strikes and Faceplates

Strike bodies are listed by series and voltage. The 1400, 1500 and 1700 series cover standard duty fail secure strikes at 8 to 16 Volt Ac and 3 to 6 Volt Dc or at 12 and 24 VDC, with 1000 Lb Tamper Strength and a 1.43" depth strike. Adjustable keeper bodies are rated at 1000 lbs. holding force.

Faceplates are called out by size and mounting: 1-1/4" x 5-7/8" side mount and front mount plates, a 1-1/4" x 4-7/8" ANSI faceplate and a 1 3/8 x 9" centerline opening plate, with door type listed as metal, wood or aluminum. Handed and reversible offset versions cover frames that will not take a centered plate, and finishes run through satin aluminum clear anodized, polished chrome, satin stainless steel and oil rubbed bronze.

Replacement Solenoids

Replacement solenoids are listed on their own for the 1400, 1500, 1700 and 3400 series electric strikes. Voltages cover 8-16 VAC/3-6 VDC, 12VAC/DC and 24VAC/DC, in fail secure and fail safe operation, with left handed and right handed units for handed strikes.

Intermittent duty and continuous duty are separated in the listings, so an 8-16 VAC/3-6 VDC intermittent duty solenoid is not confused with a 12 VDC continuous one. The solenoid carries the handing and the fail safe or fail secure operation, so match it to the series on the strike body.

Magnetic and Shear Locks

Maglocks run from a micro standard mount magnet at 275 lbs. holding force through 600lb mini maglocks to 1200lb single magnets and full length double magnets at 2x 1200 lbs. holding force. Mount styles cover flush mount, wall mount, floor mount, slide mount and mortise mounting, several of them UL listed at 24V, and a 600LB sliding door magnet is listed for bypass doors.

Shear locks cover a 1200lb mini shear lock with relay and bond and a 2000lb shear lock with monitoring and bond on 12/24 VDC. Bond sensor and door status contacts are listed on most of the maglocks, a gate maglock is listed at 600lb on 12/24DC, and a delayed egress single magnet at 1200LB holding force covers exits that need a timed release. Mounting Brackets and Door Cords

Brackets are sold per lock, not per door. Z-brackets are listed for the 1200lb maglock and for the standard 8011 series, L-brackets in surface mount and front mount for the gate maglock, a U bracket kit with two U brackets and one L bracket for full glass door and frame, and a surface mounted housing pair for the mini shear lock.

Power transfer parts cover a 3 pin power transfer, 16" stainless door cords with a PC board and a 16" door cord with a 5/16" inside diameter. Replacement end cap sets and faceplates are listed for the magnets and strikes already installed.

Exit and Key Switches

Request to exit switches are DPDT and are listed on standard plates at 3" x 4 3/4" and on narrow plates, in momentary and maintained action, with one, two or three blue buttons and with bi-colored LED or pneumatic time delay versions. Key switches are SPDT and ship without cylinder, including electric time delay models rated 0-60 Seconds at 10A at 250V / 15A at 125V.

Button stations cover 1 1/2" and 2 3/8" red mushroom buttons in normally open and normally closed, flush head units with a metal surround, 2"x2" green push to exit buttons and blue buttons with a white handicap logo, each with a 12V or 24V LED. Power Supplies and Inline Controllers

Plug in power supplies are listed at 12 VAC 1.0A, 24 VAC 1.1A, 12VDC 1.5A with time delay and 24 VDC 1 A, with a 12 VDC 2.0A model UL Listed for the USA and Canada. Inline controllers drop 24VAC/VDC or 48VAC to 12VDC, some with a built-in piezo buzzer and a red LED output indicator, and time delay versions cover 5, 15, 30 and 60 second settings.
