The cylinder is one of the weakest points on a narrow stile aluminum door. Left unprotected, the cylinder can be pulled or twisted out, its plug can be pulled, or the stile can be drilled and the lock tripped open. HPC high security door guards use cast steel components to cover those attack points, and are listed for a 1 inch standard cylinder in satin stainless steel.
