Expansion Modules & Wiring

Few systems stay the size they were designed at. Expansion hardware is how a control panel grows past its onboard capacity, whether that means adding hardwired zones for a new wing, relay outputs to drive door holders or an HVAC shutdown, auxiliary power for a run of four-wire devices, or a receiver so wireless sensors can join a hardwired panel. Planning for it early is cheaper than re-pulling a panel later.

The other half of any expansion is the wire between the panel and the devices. Shielded multi-conductor control cable keeps induced noise off long sensor runs, and power-limited fire cable rated FPL or FPLR is required for initiating and notification circuits under the National Electrical Code. Cable is stocked here in both reels and pull boxes so a job can be sized to the run rather than to the packaging.

See the devices these support under expansion modules, the panels they attach to under intrusion panels and systems, and arming devices under keypads. Browse the full Honeywell Ademco / Resideo catalog. Contact our team for help sizing an expansion.
