Honeywell Multi Technology Readers

Changing every card in a building on one weekend is rarely possible. A multi technology reader solves that by accepting both the old proximity credential and the new smart credential, so the hardware can be replaced first and the cards reissued gradually.

These readers sit in the OmniClass 13.56 MHz contactless secure smart card range and are listed in the same mounting sizes as the single technology models, which keeps back boxes and cable runs unchanged during a swap.

Smart only readers are in readers, the credentials they read are in smart credentials and multi tech reader credentials, and the proximity cards still in circulation are in OmniProx credentials.
