Electromechanical Cabinet Locks

An electromechanical cabinet lock is the cabinet-sized equivalent of an electrified door lock: a powered bolt that a keypad, card reader, or access control panel releases on demand. It is the right choice when drawers and cabinets need to join an existing access control system instead of living on a separate ring of keys that nobody can audit.

The HES 660 is the heavy-duty option, surface mounting to swinging or sliding cabinet doors and drawers and delivering over 1,000 pounds of holding force, more than 100 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance, and endurance testing beyond 1,000,000 cycles. It is fail-secure, so the bolt stays mechanically locked when power is removed, unlike magnetic cabinet locks that release. Models run on 12 or 24 VDC with a low continuous draw of 240 mA at 12 volts or 120 mA at 24 volts, and install with adjustable brackets, a final lockdown feature, and a 6 foot jacketed cable lead. Options include latchbolt strike monitoring to report the cabinet's status and the 660 key override for mechanical access during service or an outage. Typical applications are equipment cabinets, lockers, display cases, and secure storage in commercial and government buildings.
