GE Security NetworX Intrusion Panels

GE Security became UTC and then Interlogix, and the hardware that carried the name is still installed and still serviced. NetworX Control Panels

The NetworX panels are hybrid, taking hardwired and wireless zones on one board, and they are sized by onboard zone count with an expansion ceiling above it. The NX-4 carries four hardwired zone inputs and expands to 8 fully programmable hardwired or wireless zones, with four programmable outputs for driving external devices on an alarm.

The NX-6 is a 6-zone panel expandable to 12 hardwired or 16 wireless zones, with 2 independent partitions, 40 user codes, a 512-event history log and a built-in 2-tone siren driver. The NX-8 is an 8-zone panel expandable to 48 zones, with up to 8 partitions, 99 user codes and 4 programmable outputs, reporting in SIA and Contact ID formats. All three take 2-wire and 4-wire smoke detectors, which is what makes them combination burglary and fire panels rather than burglary only.

Carbon Monoxide and Intrusion Detection

The SafeAir wireless carbon monoxide alarm alerts residents to potentially dangerous levels of CO and sends a CO alarm signal to the Simon XT panel, which supervises it for tamper, no signal, low battery, trouble and end-of-life. A 260-CO SafeAir detector ships as a kit with an adapter plate for replacing the older 240-COe, and the plate is listed separately for sites that already have the detector.

Intrusion detection covers wireless ShatterPro glassbreak sensors, described as ideal where hardwired acoustic sensors are impractical and listening for actual patterns of breaking glass using Pattern Recognition Technology at a 20 foot range from sensor to glass. Alongside them sit recessed and wide gap magnetic contacts, high security SPDT contacts, contacts supplied with two 1K resistors, shock sensors, a UL listed SPDT glassbreak sensor and a 40 by 40 PIR.

Legacy Panel and Fire Accessories

A phone interface and voice module adds phone and voice functions to Concord panels, giving on-site and remote system control from any touch-tone telephone with access to both installer and user operations. It connects over the panel bus and runs from the panel 12 VDC supply, with one module per partition on a multi-partition system.

A learn mode rate-of-rise and fixed temperature heat detector covers rooms where optical smoke detectors cannot be used because of high dust, or where a fire would develop rapidly.

Kalatel Video Hardware

The video side of the legacy range is Kalatel. CamPlus rugged domes are listed at 540 TVL, alongside day and night wall mount dome cameras with 26x zoom, pendant housings for the CyberDome line and a manual iris 4mm lens.

UltraView LCD monitors are listed at 19, 26 and 42 inches with BNC inputs at 1280x1024 and 1366x768, with a 24 VAC outdoor power supply, a three way adjustable wall mount bracket and a keyboard for camera control.

Topaz Access Control

Field panels are described as the core of any access control system, and these are the ones that ran Topaz Intelligent Access Control software. Four reader panels are listed with serial and LAN connections, along with two reader and four reader starter kits.

The credential side is listed too: direct print PVC cards in packs of 50, a slot punch for ID cards, badge printer ribbons and an event printer, which is what a site still running a Topaz head end needs to keep issuing cards.
