Slide and Swing Gate Operators

The slide range is listed by duty. Model 9150 operators are designed to operate vehicular slide gates in residential, commercial and industrial applications, mounted front, center or rear of the gate and pad or post mounted. The 9024 runs on 115 or 230 Volt switch selectable AC with an operational voltage of 24 Volt DC and built-in battery backup, so the gate keeps working when the power is out. Larger 9210 and 9220 operators cover heavier gates.

The swing range runs from a residential actuator that mounts directly on the gate and pilaster with no concrete pad, through the 6500 series for single and bi-parting gates, to the 6550 for very large commercial and industrial gates. Primary operators take the command and secondary operators follow them on a bi-parting pair. A DC convenience open option opens the gate automatically in a power outage, and the listings are compliant with UL 325 and 991 and ETL listed.

Telephone Entry and Access Plus Systems

Telephone entry systems let a visitor call a resident and be let in from a touch-tone telephone. The compact units suit a single residence or a small commercial door, the 1835 adds a single-line LCD display, and the 1837 carries an eight-line LCD with big half-inch characters, a built-in electronic directory and a card reader interface for up to 16 readers.

The Access Plus line is PC programmable and IP addressable. Once the Access Plus Account Manager software is installed, the system connects to the network and is programmed and reported on over the internet, and the 1816 expands the No Phone Line intercom interface from a single phone line up to 11 phone lines. Tracker expansion boards take the 1833, 1835, 1837 and 1838 controllers up to 16 entry points.

Barrier Gates and Traffic Spikes

The 1601 operator is designed for single lane vehicular traffic control up to 14 feet in high traffic commercial and industrial applications and mounts on either side of the roadway. The 1602 covers low usage control in wide traffic lanes with a three piece wishbone arm in a 10 gauge galvanized steel housing, and the 1603 mechanically links traffic control auto-spikes to the operator arm.

Traffic spikes enforce one-way traffic, and speed bumps force vehicles to slow down as they pass through the controlled area. Flush mounted and surface mounted six foot sections are listed with spring or weighted retraction and with lock down versions, along with extensions, end caps, lockdown tools and heater kits.

Keypads, Readers and Credentials

Wiegand keypads provide access control for virtually any application where digital code entry is desired, in surface and flush mount, lighted and non-lighted. DK Prox, AWID and HID proximity readers are listed in mullion and single gang styles, and the long range readers are specified by read range rather than by card type.

Standalone controllers and readers handle a single door without a panel, including a controller that accepts any 26 bit Wiegand device, with replacement memory chips listed by card capacity. Credentials cover clamshell cards, key tags, fobs and windshield tags, and the listings state which reader generation each one works with, which matters on older ID-Teck coded sites.

Transmitters and Receivers

MicroPLUS and MicroClik transmitters are the gate remotes, listed as visor clips and as one and three button fobs, with ProxMitter versions that combine a transmitter and an AWID prox tag in one credential. The visor clip version is listed as a MicroPLUS transmitter and is stocked as a standard replacement remote.

Receivers output transmitter codes to a Wiegand controller in 26, 30 or 31 bit format, including a high security encrypted rotating code receiver and an ultra low power receiver that also runs as a stand-alone device. These sit alongside DKGL magnetic gate locks, which operate on 12 or 24 Volt DC power for outdoor gates.

Mounting Posts, Hinges and Gate Hardware

Several styles of mounting posts are available from DKS. Architectural and designer style posts are typically used with the larger telephone entry systems and are listed in gooseneck, straight and offset styles with in-ground adapters, base plates, light assemblies and kiosks matched to specific entry system models.

The rest of the accessories range is the mechanical side of a gate: sealed and flange bearing hinges rated to 2000 and 3000 pounds, machined steel V-wheels and V-wheel assemblies, guide rollers, end catches, transformer boxes and transformers, back-up power supplies, and three button control stations that give complete manual control of a DKS vehicular gate operator.
