Traffic Control
DoorKing Barrier Gates and Traffic Spikes
Traffic control here means the lane rather than the gate. The 1601 operator is designed for single lane vehicular traffic control up to 14 feet in high traffic commercial and industrial applications and can be mounted on either the left or right hand side of the roadway, with an optional DC convenience open package that raises the arm automatically in a power outage. The 1602 is built for low usage vehicle control in wide traffic lanes, with a three piece wishbone style arm and a 10 gauge galvanized steel housing, and the 1603 mechanically links traffic control auto-spikes to the operator arm.
Traffic spikes enforce one-way traffic, and speed bumps force vehicles to slow down as they pass through the controlled area. Six foot sections are listed flush mounted in-ground and surface mounted, with spring retraction or weighted retraction, and with or without lock down. The heavy-duty spikes have a quarter inch top plate with support rails, and three foot extensions, end caps, spike sections and lockdown tools are listed for building out or repairing a run.
The rest of the category is parts and options: arms and arm hardware kits, counterweights, lane barrier posts and caps, manual crank and manual release kits with an interlock power cut-off switch, replacement circuit boards, motors, bearings and heater kits that also fit the gate operator range. Barrier gate listings are compliant with UL 325 and 991 and ETL listed, and the auto-spike operator requires a warning sign or traffic signal.
Gate operators for a driveway or property entrance are in gate operators, and mounting posts and control stations are in accessories. Browse the full DoorKing catalog. Contact our team with lane width and duty cycle and we can specify the operator and arm.
