The Trine 4850-32D is a Grade 1 surface-mount electric strike with 1,500+ lb holding force for rim panic exit devices. It features a satin stainless steel BHMA 630 finish, field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation, 12/16/24 VDC compatibility, and 3 included spacer plates that create 6 mounting thicknesses. The open strike cavity accommodates rim exit device latch throws up to 1 inch.

Trine 4850-32D Grade 1 Surface-Mount Electric Strike

The Trine 4850-32D is a heavy-duty surface-mount electric strike designed for access-controlled openings equipped with rim panic exit devices. The strike provides 1,500+ lb of holding force and Grade 1 performance exceeding 1,000,000 operating cycles. Its 4850-32D configuration features a satin stainless steel BHMA 630 finish, making it suitable for commercial doors requiring durable electrified locking hardware with a clean architectural appearance.

The 4850 uses a 1/2-inch surface-mount body with 1 included 1/4-inch spacer and 2 included 1/16-inch spacers. Different spacer combinations provide 6 total mounting thicknesses, allowing installers to position the strike relative to the rim exit device without replacing the locking body. Its completely open cavity accommodates incremental latch depths and rim panic device latch throws up to 1 inch.

The electric strike provides field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation and uses a one-piece locking mechanism with a single solenoid. Electrical operation is DC only, with published current draw of 0.218 A at 12 VDC, 0.290 A at 16 VDC, and 0.195 A at 24 VDC. Both intermittent and continuous-duty operation are supported, and the strike operates silently when energized.

The Trine 4850 incorporates a patented 6-pin anchoring system to increase mounting strength and stability in compatible frames. The enhanced 4850 is UL 1034 Listed for burglary-resistant applications and UL 294 Listed, and it qualifies under the Build America, Buy America Act and Buy American Act. The 4850-32D is intended for non-fire-rated rim panic applications; Trine specifies the 4800F series when a fire-rated surface-mount rim exit strike is required.
