The System Sensor SPCWL L-Series Ceiling Speaker provides high-fidelity audible notification for commercial fire alarm, emergency communication, and mass notification systems. Designed to reproduce voice evacuation instructions and emergency warning tones, the speaker uses low-distortion audio technology with a 400-4,000 Hz frequency response to support intelligible emergency messages. Its white, circular housing integrates into commercial ceiling installations in offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, and public assembly buildings. The SPCWL is a speaker-only notification appliance without an integrated strobe, distinguishing it from the SPSCWL ceiling-mounted speaker-strobe combination.

The SPCWL operates on 25V or 70.7V nominal speaker circuits connected to compatible emergency voice evacuation amplifiers. Two rotary selectors provide field adjustment of the speaker circuit voltage and four power taps: 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 watts. These settings allow installers to balance audible coverage, amplifier capacity, and speaker circuit loading according to the facility's notification requirements. The speaker supports a maximum supervisory voltage of 50VDC and reproduces emergency voice messages and compatible evacuation tones, including 520 Hz signaling from supported fire alarm equipment.
