Securitron AQE30-E Power Over Ethernet Extractor, 0.6A, 12VDC

The Securitron AQE30E is a single port Power over Ethernet (PoE) MidSpan Extractor designed for access control and security applications. This module provides 12VDC up to a maximum of 25W output power to a non-PoE device from a PoE source. The AQE30E Extractor is used to power DC IP and PTZ cameras, access control, door controllers and other similar equipment.

The AQE Series Extractor provides RJ45 connectors for data input and output and two terminal strips for the DC output and power level selection.

If your security camera, door controller, or other access control equipment is not yet Power over Ethernet (PoE) capable, you can still reap the benefits of PoE with the AQE30E Single Port MidSpan Extractor. It works by splitting the power from a PoE source into separate data and current for a non-PoE Internet Protocol (IP) device.

It has a 0.6A input current, and can create 12 volts of DC current and either 13 or 25 watts of output power, which is configurable on the device. It has an input voltage of 50V, a maximum input current of 0.7 Amperes, and a 10/100/1000 Base-T data rate. It has RJ45 connectors that allow the data input and output, and two terminal strips used for selecting the DC output and power level of the PoE source. If you're connecting it to a Class 3 15W source, you leave the terminals open. If it's a Class 4 30W source, you place a jumper across the terminals.

The on-board LED light makes it easy to check the status of the extractor at a glance. The green light will be on if the unit is operating properly, and will be off if there is either no power to the extractor, or no connection on the PoE/Data port.

The AQE30E is 4.2" long by 2.5" wide by 1.2" deep, and the storage temperature should be between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. The unit weighs about 0.25 lbs. It has mounting tabs, and should be mounted with two screws in a dry, indoor location.
