The Keri Systems P-300H Pyramid Series Proximity from Farpointe Data sets the electronic security benchmark for 125-kHz proximity readers, cards, and tags. Based upon proven contactless digital radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, Pyramid readers interface with a wide range of electronic access control systems by complying with the Wiegand communication protocol. They offer value-add features such as MAXSecure and fleaPower, and can be ordered to support several proximity card and tag technologies. Additionally, Pyramid cards and tags are passive devices, eliminate maintenance by requiring no battery, and can be ordered to support several proximity reader technologies.
The P-300 is one of the newest members of Keris Pyramid Series Proximity line of OEM readers, cards, and tags for access control.
The Reader delivers up to 4 inches (102 mm) of read range in one of the smallest mullion mount packages available. Installing dealers will appreciate the P-300s single piece design, standard pass through Wiegand or magnetic stripe interface, and potted weather and vandal resistant electronics, all backed by a lifetime warranty.
The P-300 can be mounted directly to a metal mullion or doorframe, or any location requiring a very small proximity reader. Because of its modular design, dealers can incorporate different color bezels (black and off-white, shipping with each reader) to match the decor of any environment. The reader can be installed indoors or outdoors, as the electronics are sealed in an epoxy potting.
The P-300, engineered using ultra-reliable surface mount components and backed by a lifetime warranty, features a distinctive four-state status LED (red, green, amber, and off) and audio tone. The LED and audio tone can both be controlled independently by the access controller. It operates from 5 to 14 VDC at a nominal current draw of just 80 ma.
Most recently, Keri confirms that a license agreement has been concluded with HID Corporation. This agreement allows the P-300 to be optionally configured at the factory to read HID's proximity access control cards, including the ProxCard II and ISOProx II, as well as the complete range of Pyramid Series credentials.
The P-300 is complemented by a complete line of access credentials that may be used interchangeably with any Pyramid Series Proximity Reader. They include the PSC-1 Standard Light Proximity Card featuring a lifetime warranty, the dye sublimation printable ISO-thin PSM-2 Multi-Technology Proximity Card available with a magnetic stripe, and one of the smallest, most durable credentials available, the PSK-3 Proximity Key Ring Tag.
