Keri Systems NXT-4D-MSC 4-Door 8-Reader Controller

The Keri Systems NXT-4D-MSC is a 4-door, 8-reader TCP/IP access control controller with Mercury firmware. It supports up to 100,000 cardholders, stores up to 50,000 events, provides onboard Ethernet connectivity, and supports OSDP readers plus entry and exit readers on the same RS-485 bus. The controller operates independently during network interruptions and is supplied in a locking enclosure for commercial access control installations.

Keri Systems NXT-4D-MSC 4-Door Access Controller

The Keri Systems NXT-4D-MSC is a Mercury firmware-based network access controller designed to manage 4 doors and up to 8 readers within Keri Doors.NET and compatible NXT-MSC access control systems. Each controlled door can support separate entry and exit readers when compatible NXT or OSDP readers are installed. The standard NXT-4D-MSC configuration includes the controller in an enclosure, while the NXT-4D-MSCNE version provides the same controller without an enclosure.

The NXT-4D-MSC stores up to 100,000 cardholders and 50,000 access control events locally at the controller. Embedded Mercury firmware provides functions including anti-passback, dual verification, temporary credentials, occupancy counting, area control, airlock or mantrap operation, and programmable I/O linkage. Local processing allows the controller to continue making access decisions when communication with the host system is temporarily unavailable.

Network communication is provided through onboard TCP/IP Ethernet with an embedded MAC address and one-button auto-configuration. Multiple RS-485 networks support compatible NXT readers, OSDP readers, NXT-4X4 I/O expansion modules, and reader interface modules. The controller supports NXT and OSDP entry/exit configurations with up to 8 readers, while compatible interface modules provide connectivity for Keri MS Series and Wiegand-output readers.

The NXT-4D-MSC operates from 10 to 14 VDC and draws up to 650 mA at 12 VDC. Output relay contacts are rated at 1 A at 24 VDC, and connected RS-485 peripherals can be located up to 500 ft (150 m) from the controller using Keri's specified cabling. Flash-updatable firmware, expandable I/O, OSDP support, Ethernet networking, and Mercury-based access control functions make the NXT-4D-MSC suitable for commercial offices, multifamily properties, educational facilities, and other multi-door access control installations.
