The SIGA-OSHD smoke detector from the Signature Optica Series combines cutting-edge optical sensing technology with a practical design to improve performance, shorten installation times, lower costs, and maximize life safety and property protection capabilities. A rate-of-rise heat sensor with a preset temperature setting and an optical smoke sensor are both provided by the SIGA-OSHD. Together, these sensors effectively identify both rapidly blazing fires and simmering fires.

The SIGA-OSHD is an intelligent detector from the Signature Optica Series that collects analog data from numerous optical sensors and transforms it into digital signals. The SIGA-OSHD distinguishes particles that aren't like smoke by using two optical wavelengths along with a variety of detecting angles. Particle data is fed into digital filters, which remove signal patterns that are typical of bothersome sources and provide a series of ratios, so lowering the number of unnecessary warnings. The detector's on-board CPU measures, analyzes, and compares all optical sensor readings to preset parameters before deciding whether to sound an alarm.
