The world's tiniest, most portable audible-visual signaling devices are part of the Genesis family of signals. Genesis chimes and chime strobes have textured housings in either traditional fire alarm red or neutral white that complement any environment.

Large specular reflectors are not necessary when using Genesis strobes. Instead, a unique mask-and-cavity design channels and manipulates light to create a distribution pattern that is remarkably controlled. FullLight technology has emerged as a new standard for strobe performance as a result of extensive development efforts using this new technology. With this technique, there are no spikes or voids that specular reflectors are known for in the smooth pattern of light distribution. This makes sure that the strobe flash consistently illuminates the whole coverage area.

Genesis strobes are self-synchronizing, but if a synchronization module is fitted, devices on the same circuit can always synchronize their strobe flashes to within 10 milliseconds of one another. Chime/Strobes have a switch easily situated on the device's bottom that allows the user to choose between 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela output. Even after installation, settings are easily accessible.

A pleasant, soothing tone is produced by Genesis chimes. The chime automatically pulses at 60 strokes per minute when stable (non-stroked) voltage is applied, or it can be field-configured for temporal output. The chime can also be field-configured for coded operation when installed with an EG1M Signal Master Module, allowing the chime output to synchronize with the rate at which voltage is applied to the circuit. The chime's highest output level of 79 dBA makes it appropriate for a wide range of private mode applications. A jumper cut that lowers sound output by around 5 dB can be used to configure chimes for low dB output.
