JMAC ID: 202440836
With self-monitoring on each ON-OFF cycle, this device is a two-channel safety switching device. It is EN 60204-1 compliant and has positively operated relays. It is designed to produce a safety-focused output signal while monitoring connected switching elements on separating safety devices (enable). Separating safety devices may come in the form of protective screens, safety doors, enclosures, coverings, screens, etc., depending on the design.
Basic Action: Pressing the reset button closes the enabling current channels once supply voltage has been connected to terminals A1/A2 and the safety inputs have been closed (manual start). The enabling current paths will open when the safety inputs are opened.
operating settings / system capabilities
activation via two channels The system activates via two channels. Safety channel CH2 through comparable negative potential activation Both safety channels are related to positive potential with non-equivalent activation.
Cross-monitoring Cross monitoring is accomplished using the short-circuit approach for equivalent activation and functional density for non-equivalent activation.
manually begin When the safety inputs are closed, a button is utilized to either close reset input S35 or close reset input S34 (triggering with failed edge) (triggering with rising edge).
automatic beginning S33/S14 are connected to reset input S35. The rising edge of the signal on safety input S14 triggers the gadget to turn on.
beginning a lockout The enabling routes won't close once the supply voltage is connected and the safety inputs are closed. Only after pressing the reset button can the engine be started. The reset inputs must be activated with the button just like in manual start mode to initiate lockout.
resuming the lockout After the safety inputs have been opened and closed, there is no restart. Only after pressing the reset button is it possible to restart. The reset inputs must be initiated using the button, same like in manual start mode, to restart lockout.
Synchro-check Only the automated start mode (bridge S33/S14-S35) makes synchronization possible. Safety channel CH2 must either close (S24) or open (S22) within the synchronous time ts after safety channel CH1. The synchronous time ts = infinite if CH2 closes or opens before CH1.
