The Genesis line of ceiling life safety and emergency communications speakers and speaker-strobes combines high performance output with a low profile design to provide a versatile and effective life safety signal solution. While these devices are intended for discreet overhead mounting, they are also rated for wall-mounting applications.
Clear-lens speaker-strobes are available in both high and low candela output models, with 15 to 95 or 95 to 177 cd output, respectively (see ordering information). The ceiling speakers' 14 W to 2 W power range enables devices to be easily fine-tuned in exchange for the lowest possible system overhead in order to achieve the greatest possible benefit.
Utilizing conveniently located switches, the light output and wattage settings can be adjusted. The settings remain clearly visible even after installation is complete, but they are locked in place to prevent unauthorized modification.
High-fidelity models satisfy the NPFA 520 Hz requirements for newly built commercial sleeping areas. In addition, they produce voice audio output that is crisp, clear, and highly intelligible over vast distances.
These low-profile appliances have textured housings in either an architecturally neutral white or an eye-catching life safety red. Optional markings for ALERT or FIRE make them ideal for applications requiring differentiation between life safety and mass notification alerts.
