Edwards Signaling APS10A Auxiliary/Booster Power Supply, 10A total, Expanded cabinet, 26a/h capacity, 115VAC
The Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) is a power supply that is UL 864, 10th Edition listed. It is a 24 Vdc filtered-regulated, monitored device that is simply adjusted to offer extra notification appliance circuits (NACs) or auxiliary power for life safety applications as well as mass notification/emergency communication (MNEC).
Circuitry for monitoring and recharging internal or external batteries is built into the APS. It can accommodate up to two 24 amp-hour batteries in its steel shell. The APS has four Class B NACs, two of which are convertible to Class A. The APS's distinctive dual input circuits can activate them in one or two groups. The APS has an LED AC power indicator positioned on the door.
The APS can accommodate and power a variety of additional modules. These can be SIGA-UIO modules, SIGA-RELs, or Signature AA-30 or AA-50 dual-channel audio amplifiers. Another option is to add an MN- BKRT3. The MN-NETSW1 Ethernet network switch, the MN-FVPN VoIP module, and the MN-COM1S Communications module can all fit in this bracket.
The APS is offered in variants with 6.5 or 10 amperes. The total current drawn cannot be greater than the unit's rating because each output circuit has a three amp capacity.
