The Edwards 867STR AdaptaBeacon series is a surface-mounted electronic horn/strobe combination that is bright, low current, and loud for indoor application. It is intended to be mounted using the rear box that is included. Both the horn and the strobe can be used independently.

The gray, corrosion-resistant surface box that comes with the device is where the 867STR mounts. The box is 3 5/16" (84mm) deep and 5 5/8" (143mm) square in size.

In manufacturing facilities, indoor wall hanging of the 867STR AdaptaBeacon is required. used for applications such as timing, scheduling, paging, process management, and general alarm where a clear visual or auditory indication is required.
