A double re-entrant loudspeaker with outstanding efficiency, the 5552 can output 15 watts of power continuously. Because of its distinctive appearance, which offers outstanding readability, it is perfect for use in fire alarm and life safety applications. It is certified as a fire protective signaling speaker under UL 1480.


The 5552 produces an audible output of 120 dB (peak at one meter) at the rated power level while operating within a nominal frequency response range of 400-14,000 Hz. A versatile, three-way, 25/70.7 V line transformer is included in it to accommodate a range of distributed system requirements. With the help of a practical seven-position watts/impedance selection switch, the transformer can be adjusted. This labor-saving switch has built-in cable strain relief, a protective cover, and screwdriver adjustment.


The unique mounting bracket on the 5552 allows for perfect positioning in both the vertical and horizontal planes with just one adjustment. Additionally, it enables the strap-mounting of the 5552 on pillars or I-beams in addition to standard surface installations. ABS plastic and sturdy epoxy-coated metal components are weather-resistant and appropriate for both indoor and outdoor use.
