Edwards Signaling 5533M-Y6 Explosion proof remote speaker/amplifier designed for use with Millennium Class multi-tone signals. The signal accepts up to two contact closures and delivers one or two audible output signals selected from the 55 tones available.
The explosion-proof, industrial, heavy-duty, tone-selectable Edwards 5533M Adaptatone Signal can generate volume-controlled, high-decibel tones. The signal allows for up to two contact closures and outputs two audible signals from a pool of 55 tones. Setting tiny switches inside the device will allow you to choose between the two tones. To make one tone take precedence over the other, a priority status can be given to that tone. See Tone Selection and Priority Operation listed under catalog pages on the left side of this page for more details on priority tone operation and a comprehensive list of all 55 tones.
Field-wired, normally open contacts or the Cat. No. 5538-4 Adaptatone Signal Actuator provide the electrical inputs that activate the Adaptatone Signal. (Not appropriate for risky environments.)
Three bolts are used to mount the 5533M Adaptatone to any surface. Browse the catalog pages on the left and look for Adaptatone Signaling Installation.
For use in dangerous locations where a loud sound is necessary for alert or evacuation. Typical uses for signaling include hazardous environments like mines, granaries, flour mills, tankers, refineries, labs, and spray booths.
