Edwards Signaling 5532M-AQ Division 2 Rated remote speaker/amplifier designed for use with Millennium Class multi-tone signals.
A powerful industrial signaling tool with a 30 watt output that can produce loud, volume-controlled tones is the Edwards 5531MHV Series Adaptatone Millennium. Four tones can be activated by either field-wired, normally-open contacts or an external voltage source, such as the output of a PLC running at 24VDC or 120VAC. Adaptatone Signal Actuators with Cat. Nos. 5538-4 and/or 5538-4R can offer typically open contacts.
55 distinct tones are produced by the device's microprocessor circuit and can be chosen by adjusting tiny internal dip switches. The tones operate in a pyramid-style priority scheme, where a switch with a programmed tone takes precedence over any switches that follow it. For more information about priority tone operation and a complete list of all 55 tones, see the catalog pages on the left side of this page.
suited for industrial uses such paging, process monitoring, shift start-and-dismissal horns, plant evacuation, and security intrusion alarms.
The 5531M can employ 1/2" (13mm) conduit or surface mounting. Look for Adaptatone Signaling Installation under Catalog Pages on the left side of this page.
