A long, continuous ringing sound is produced by DC vibrating bells. As long as electricity is applied, the striker will continue to rapidly strike the gong.

Any single gang box, 3 1/4" (83mm), 3 1/2" (89mm), or 4" (102mm) octagon box, or any plaster cover with mounting holes on 2 3/4" (70mm) centers will fit the Universal Adaptaplate, which can be mounted directly to the surface. Additionally, 4" (102mm) square boxes can support 6" and 10" bells.

When installed on the waterproof back box Cat. No. 449, the DC vibrating bell is suitable for outdoor applications. Examine Accessories.
