Edwards Signaling 116DEGEXFJ Edwards' 116 Class Genesis Explosionproof fire alarm strobe is designed for use in Class I, Division 1 and 2 explosion proof and hazardous location applications.
When connected to appropriate Kidde fire alarm panels and power supply, or by using a separate synchronization module, the 116DEGEX-FJ, a regulated 24 volt, explosion-proof fire alarm strobe, can be synchronized.
The strobe has a 125cd ceiling rating and a 60cd wall rating and is UL1971 listed. The strobe has hazardous areas that are classified as Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D, Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D, Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G, Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G, and Class III, Division 1 and 2. Additionally, the strobe has cUL Listings for Type 3R and 4X enclosures.
The addition of additional mounting gear enables the beacon to be hung on a wall, ceiling, or as a pendant.

The diode-polarized strobe is ADA compliant for the hearing impaired and is designed for indoor usage in UL 1971 approved compatible fire alarm systems.
The 116 Series Genesis strobe emits 60 cd of wall light and 125 cd of ceiling light. The strobe flashes with an output of 86 cd ceiling and 51 cd wall while the guard is in place. These units meet the requirements of Canadian standard ULC-S526-07 and are listed for use outside under UL 1638 and cUL as NEMA Type 3R and 4X enclosures.
When utilized with a compatible synchronization source, such as the EG1M-RM synchronization module, the E-FSC and E-FSA fire panels, or the EBPS series booster supply, the strobes are made to flash at the same rate (synchronize).
