Four-Channel Photoelectric Quad Beam Detector from Bosch

The Photobeam 5000 Series includes the single channel quad beam ISC-FPB1-W60QS, ISC-FPB1-W120QS, and ISC-FPB1-W200QS as well as the four channel quad beam ISC-FPB1-W60QF, ISC-FPB1-W120QF, and ISC-FPB1-W200QF detectors with independent transmitters and receivers. The detector series employs four pulsed infrared beams designed to trigger an alarm if all four beams are simultaneously blocked. By utilizing four beams as opposed to single or dual beam devices, the false alarm immunity is enhanced. In addition to interlocked upper and lower beams, signal voltage LEDs, and optional environmental discrimination circuitry, the detector series features interlocked upper and lower beams.


It consists of a separate transmitter and receiver and is designed to sound an alarm when an intruder enters the line of sight between the transmitter and receiver.

This feature provides an additional level of detection by sounding an alarm when four beams from two separate devices are concurrently obstructed. Environmental conditions need a higher false alarm threshold for tiny items passing through the line of sight of the detector. To accomplish this, set the AND/OR gate option to AND gate mode, which only triggers an alarm condition when all four infrared beams are concurrently stopped. High Security applications may demand the detection of tiny items moving within the line of sight of the detector. To accomplish this, set the AND/OR gate option to OR gate mode, which triggers an alarm if either the upper or bottom two beams are interrupted. The manufacturer has discontinued this product. There is no proposed substitute.
