Adams Rite 7440-630 UltraLine Grade 1 Electric Strike

The Adams Rite 7440-630 is a Grade 1 UltraLine electric strike with over 1,500 lb of holding force and a satin stainless steel 630 finish. It features a 1-1/4 x 4-7/8-inch square-corner faceplate, field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation, and 12/24 VDC power. The strike accommodates Adams Rite deadlatches and cylindrical locksets with 1/2- to 5/8-inch latchbolt projection.

Adams Rite 7440-630 UltraLine Grade 1 Electric Strike

The Adams Rite 7440-630 is a heavy-duty UltraLine 7400 Series electric strike designed for electrically controlled commercial door openings. The non-handed strike provides over 1,500 lb of holding force in fail-secure operation and releases under up to 25 lb of door preload. Its satin stainless steel 630 finish and square-corner faceplate make it suitable for aluminum, hollow-metal, and wood-frame access control installations.

The 7440 is compatible with Adams Rite 4500 and 4900 Series deadlatches and cylindrical locksets with 1/2- to 5/8-inch latchbolt projection. Its stainless steel keeper is adjustable to compensate for door alignment, frame conditions, and preload caused by factors such as building pressure or hardware misalignment. The strike opening measures 5/8 inch adjustable by 1-7/16 inches high by 1/2 inch deep.

The electric strike provides field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation with 12 or 24 VDC power. Published current draw is 0.44 A at 12 VDC and 0.23 A at 24 VDC. A separately available VA7400-16VDC adapter allows 16 VDC operation at 0.46 A. Quick-connect wiring and included voltage adapters simplify configuration during installation and service.

The Adams Rite 7440-630 uses a 1-1/4 x 4-7/8-inch flat faceplate with square corners, while the strike case measures 1-13/32 x 3-3/8 x 1-1/16 inches deep. The UltraLine 7400 Series is UL 1034 Listed for burglary-resistant and outdoor applications, UL 294 Listed, ULC-S319 compliant, and ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 certified. Its compact body, preload capability, adjustable keeper, and high holding force support commercial storefront and access-controlled door applications.
