The Adams Rite 7430-313 UltraLine Electric Strike provides electrically controlled door release for commercial entrances equipped with compatible narrow-stile deadlatches or cylindrical locksets. Manufactured by Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY brand, the 7430-313 features a 6-7/8-inch by 1-1/4-inch flat faceplate with a 313 dark bronze anodized finish for coordinating with dark bronze aluminum door frames and architectural hardware. The strike is designed for Adams Rite 4500, discontinued 4700, and 4900 Series deadlatches, as well as compatible cylindrical locksets with 1/2-inch to 5/8-inch latchbolt projection. Electrical activation releases the strike's retaining jaw, allowing the door to open without retracting the latch through the lockset. Its large faceplate also helps cover existing frame preparation when converting an Adams Rite MS pivoted-bolt deadlock installation to a compatible deadlatch configuration.

The 7430-313 features an adjustable stainless steel split-jaw mechanism with more than 1,500 lbs of holding force in fail-secure operation. Its compact, non-handed design accommodates left- or right-hand door applications and provides electrical release under up to 35 lbs of door preload, helping maintain operation when air pressure, frame alignment, or door conditions place additional force against the latch. A single-solenoid mechanism supports 12, 16, or 24 VAC/VDC operation using the appropriate plug-in voltage adapter. Electrical consumption is rated at 0.163A at 12 VAC, 0.228A at 16 VAC, and 0.084A at 24 VAC for intermittent AC operation. Continuous DC operation draws 0.440A at 12 VDC or 0.230A at 24 VDC. Operation at 16 VDC requires the separately available VA7400-16VDC adapter.

The Adams Rite 7430-313 is designed for installation in aluminum jambs and hollow metal door frames, with a compact strike case measuring approximately 1 inch wide by 3-3/8 inches high by 1-1/16 inches deep. The adjustable strike opening measures 5/8 inch by 1-7/16 inches by 1/2 inch deep, allowing installers to accommodate compatible latchbolt positions and door-frame tolerances. The standard strike lip is configured for a 1-3/4-inch-thick door closing flush with the jamb edge, while optional lip extension kits accommodate alternative door and frame relationships. Each strike includes mounting screws, mounting tabs, adhesive shims, an adjustable jaw shim pack, and plug-in voltage adapters. The quick-connect electrical connector simplifies installation and servicing. Optional accessories include the ELX ElectroLynx adapter for compatible prefabricated wiring systems.

The 7430-313 supports field-selectable fail-safe and fail-secure configurations, allowing the strike's response to loss of electrical power to be matched to the security and life-safety requirements of the opening. In fail-secure operation, the keeper remains locked without power and releases when energized; in fail-safe operation, the keeper releases when power is removed. The UltraLine 7430 Series serves as a direct upgrade option for Adams Rite 7130 electric strikes and supports remote unlocking through compatible card readers, keypads, access control relays, and door release switches. The series carries a UL 1034 burglary-resistant electric locking mechanism listing and ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 classification. The standard 7430-313 does not include integral latchbolt or solenoid status monitoring; these functions are available in the separately specified 7430M monitored configuration.
