Adams Rite's 4530-36-201-628 normal duty deadlatch has a flat faceplate and is clear anodized. Maximum flexibility in traffic control is provided by the 4530 Series Standard Duty Deadlatch both during and after work hours. For hospitals, banks, shops, and other buildings that require unrestricted admission at certain hours and exit-only at other times, reversing the key when the bolt is fully retracted keeps the bolt and permits the door to remain free swinging with two-way traffic. The stile cutout for older MS1850 Deadlocks and 4250 Deadlatches with the identical backset fits properly in the 4530 series deadlatches without modification. However, they are not a comparable replacement for the MS Deadlock and do not offer the same level of absolute protection.
