Request to Exit
Visonic Request to Exit Sensors
A request to exit sensor covers the inside of a controlled door. Someone walking up to leave is detected, the lock releases and the access control panel is told the door opened legitimately, so the event is not logged as a forced door.
The passive infrared detector here provides a relay output when motion is detected, which is what both a door opener and a panel input need, and the output activation time is user adjustable between 1 and 60 seconds so the release can be timed to the door.
The same sensor is listed under access control motion where it drives an automatic door opener instead. Security detectors that report to an alarm zone are in wired detectors.
