Strobes

A strobe provides the visible notification that ADA and NFPA 72 require alongside audible signals, and it is the appliance used alone where sound is already covered or unwanted. System Sensor L-Series wall strobes (SRL red, SWL white) offer seven field-selectable candela settings from 15 to 185 cd, ceiling strobes (SCRL, SCWL) cover open rooms and corridors, and outdoor K models (SRK, SWK) with high-candela versions (SRHK, SWHK) serve exterior and large-space applications. Plain, FIRE, and FUEGO housings and replacement (-R) models round out the range.

For emergency communications, ALERT-printed strobes with amber lenses and CLR-ALERT clear-lens strobes accept colored lens attachments without a candela derating, meeting ANSI/UL 1638 for general signaling. All L-Series strobes are listed to UL 1971 for the hearing impaired and synchronize across a circuit with a sync module or a synchronized panel output. This section also includes strobes, horn strobes, and low-frequency appliances from Cooper Wheelock and Potter/Amseco, plus Seco-Larm and ATW siren strobes for security systems, so visible signaling options from several lines can be compared in one place.

Combination units are under horn strobes and speaker strobes; lenses, bezels, and back boxes are under accessories. Browse the full System Sensor catalog, or contact our team for candela layout help.
