Rim, Surface Vertical Rod & Mortise Exit Devices

SDC Spectra device types cover rim mount, surface vertical rod and mortise exit devices in panic and fire versions, for 36, 42 and 48 inch doors.

Rim mount devices run from the S6101 (exit only, no trim) and S6102 (dummy pull or lever) through the S6103 (lever or pull, key latch retraction), the S6108 (lever with key locks and unlocks lever, listed as classroom) and the S6114 (lever trim always active). Surface vertical rod devices such as the S6201-P-U-36 and S6203PU36ELBR use aluminum tube vertical rods with stainless steel top and bottom latches, and the S6203PU36ELBR is minus the bottom rod as compared to the S6200 series. Mortise devices in the S6301, S6303 and S6308 models have an anti-friction latchbolt with a 3/4 inch throw and a non-handed stainless steel auxiliary deadlocking bolt, and frame actuator mortise devices are also listed.

Electrified configurations include electric latch retraction or motorized ELR and dogging, electric dogging, request-to-exit and latch status outputs, alarmed exit versions that are battery powered or hardwired, and all-in-one delayed egress with a fixed 15 or 30 second egress delay for NFPA 101, along with BOCA, CBC and Chicago compliant versions and delayed egress slave devices.
