Extra Narrow Electric Bolt Locks

SDC 1490A failsafe and 2490A failsecure locks are Spacesaver electric bolt locks with an extra narrow mortise for 1-1/2 inch frames.

The 1490AIV is locked when energized and is recommended for safety applications, and it is intended that the door unlock automatically when power is interrupted by the access control, power failure or signal from a fire life safety system, while the 1490AIVB adds a magnetic bolt status switch and the 1490AIC is a failsafe narrow right angle bolt lock in 605 finish. The 2490AHV is a failsecure narrow right angle bolt lock in 628, and the 2490A is locked when de-energized and unlocked when energized, with the 2490AHVBD adding a mechanical door position switch and a magnetic bolt status switch.

These locks use a stainless steel bolt with a 1/2 inch throw and 5/8 inch diameter, need a frame inner dimension of 8 x 1-1/4 x 1-3/8 inches, draw 0.45 Amp at 24VDC or 0.9 Amp at 12VDC continuous duty, and include an adjustable auto relock switch. They are UL listed for the US and Canada and UL 10C positive pressure compliant, finishes include black anodized, oil rubbed bronze, dull chrome, satin stainless steel, bright chrome and dull brass, and a 1490 series faceplate is listed.
