EMERGENCY DOOR RELEASES
Emergency Door Release Stations
SDC emergency door releases include pull and break glass stations for doors equipped with fail-safe electric locks, along with surface mount boxes, replacement glass, an explosion proof pull station, and an emergency access panel.
The 492 pull station and the 491 break glass station each provide immediate unlocking of perimeter or interior doors equipped with fail-safe electric locks, and each may initiate the release of an individual door or all doors on the same circuit. Both have a built in alarm that may be used as a local door annunciator, two SPDT 10 amp contacts (one for lock release and one auxiliary contact for remote monitoring, CCTV activation, or alarm activation), and a blue housing that avoids confusion with red fire alarm stations. The 491-BB and 492BB are blue surface mount boxes for these stations, and the 491GL4 is a package of 4 replacement glass plates for the 491.
The EP493 is an explosion proof pull station with a die-cast metal housing, and the APB1000A is an emergency access panel for a lobby door system with a key reset mushroom button and a siren.
Shop the 491 break glass station, the 492 pull station, the EP493 explosion proof station, or the APB1000A access panel. Browse the full SDC catalog. Contact our team for emergency release questions.
