Pressure Sense Request-to-Exit Bars

The SDC PSB560 Sure Exit is a patented request-to-exit pressure sense bar designed to release electromagnetic door locks for uninhibited egress. Bars in several finishes and widths are listed along with PSB560 replacement parts.

When slight pressure is applied to the non-latching bar, either of the two redundant solid state pressure sensors is actuated, causing the electronics to immediately release the electromagnetic door locks. Activation force is factory set at 5 lbs and field adjustable up to 15 lbs, and neither human touch nor sensor calibration is required. The PSB560V has an aluminum finish for 36 inch doors, two SPDT dry contact outputs, a 12/24VDC input, a current draw of 20mA at rest and 115 mA active, and an operating temperature range of 0 to 150F. The bar is 2.375 inches high and 1.875 inches deep, may be field cut to length, comes with a 10 ft cable and power transfer loop, and is UL Listed as Access Control System Units and Burglary Resistant and CSFM listed.

The PSB560Y has a black anodized finish, and other bars come in bright brass, bright stainless steel, and stainless steel finishes, in 42 and 48 inch widths, and as 36 and 42 inch aluminum bars with a shim kit and power transfer loop. Parts include the PSB560-62 replacement end cap set, the PSB5604 10 ft cable, the PSB560-5 mounting bracket, the PSB560-6 end cap, the PSB560-2A and PSB560-2B switch assemblies, and the PSB560-7V36 touchpad.
