These readers handle more than one credential technology, which is what a site needs when it is part way through a migration or runs different card types in different buildings. CSN readers read the Card Serial Number from many smart card RFID standards at 13.56 MHz, in illuminated, convertible and keypad versions, and Bluetooth models add BLE, NFC and OSDP so a phone can be the credential.

For vehicles, UHF 900 MHz readers are listed in medium and long range versions with Bluetooth, read a windshield tag from the driver's seat, and dual and quad channel RF transmitters cover gate and barrier control.
