Rockwood Architectural Door Hardware

Door Stops and Holders

Wall stops are listed concave and convex, wrought or solid cast, at 1 inch projection with a 2-1/2 inch or 2-7/16 inch diameter and a plastic toggle fastener, which is what goes behind a lever that would otherwise mark the wall. Where the wall is too far away, the range covers spring loaded plunger stops at 1-7/8 inch projection, floor mounted stops with wood screw and plastic anchor fixings, kick down stops at 3-5/8 and 4 inch projection for a door that needs holding open by foot, and combined door holders and stops with a separate strike. Roller stops are supported by replacement bumpers, and the RM line adds wall mount and short flat top stops in brass and stainless steel.

Door Pulls and Pull Plates

Pulls are specified by diameter, centre to centre dimension and mounting. Straight pulls are listed at 3/4 inch and 1 inch diameter in 8, 10 and 12 inch centres with Type 1 thru bolt mounting, cast pulls at 7-1/2 inch overall use surface mounting, and 90 degree offset pulls are listed at 9 and 12 inch centres in concealed mounting with clear anodized, dark bronze anodized and black anodized aluminum finishes. Pull plates combine a 4 by 16 inch plate with the pull already fitted, push pull bar sets pair a push bar with a straight pull for a single leaf, and concealed edge pulls at 1 by 4-1/4 inch suit a door edge with no room for anything proud.

Kick Plates and Protection

Kick plates are listed as standard duty metal plates from 10 by 34 inch up to 34 by 40 inch, in .050 thickness, in satin stainless steel and bright brass, with armor plates for the taller coverage a trolley or a cart demands. Latch protectors at 3 by 11 inch for cylindrical locks cover the gap at the strike on an outswinging door, which is the cheapest way to stop a latch being shimmed.

Flush Bolts, Coordinators and Strikes

Pairs of doors need their own hardware. Automatic flush bolts are listed for metal and wood doors, fire rated up to 3 hours, at 1 by 6-3/4 inch and 1 by 8-1/2 inch, with bottom fire flush bolts and dust proof strikes to receive them. Gravity door coordinators are listed at 7 inch projection, UL, in satin chrome, so the doors in a pair latch in the right order. Roller latches with solid nylon rollers and angle stop versions hold a leaf that does not need a latch bolt.

Coat Hooks, Viewers and Fasteners

Washroom and corridor hardware covers small and medium coat hooks at 1-7/8 and 3-1/8 inch projection, cast brass hand rail brackets at 3-1/2 inch to the rail centreline, and door viewers. Grey rubber door silencers for metal frames are listed at 1/2 inch diameter in packs of 100. Mounting parts are listed on their own, with 1/4-20 and 5/16-18 cone head MS bolts at 2 1/4 inch and a BTB thru bolt and washer kit.

Glass Door Solutions

The Glass Solutions digital glass door lock gives keyless access control on interior single or double glass doors in commercial spaces, with three ways in: a fingerprint reader, a numeric passcode keypad and a card reader supplied with two key cards. It needs no modification or drilling to the glass, fits doors 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick, is field reversible and stores up to 99 users.
